West Trailhead: From Mena, head east on State Highway 8 for 1 mile, then turn south on Arkansas 375. Continue for 8 miles to reach the trailhead near County Road 277.

South Trailhead: Start in Mena and drive 1 mile east on State Highway 8 to Arkansas 375. Follow 375 south for 10 miles to the trailhead.

North Trailhead: From Mena, go east on State Highway 8 for 10 miles to Polk County Road 61. Drive 3.5 miles on County Road 61, then turn right at the sign and continue for 0.5 mile to reach the North Trailhead.

East Trailhead: Take State Highway 8 east from Mena for about 20 miles (approximately 1 mile past Big Fork). Turn right onto Polk County Road 83 (Forest Road 38) and drive 5 miles to the East Trailhead.

The trail offers stunning high-mountain views and takes riders through a variety of scenic areas, including Gap Creek and Board Camp Creek. As the trail winds through forests of towering pines and hardwoods, it passes notable landmarks like the distinctive two-footed oak tree. Loop connections throughout the system allow riders to customize the length of their journey.

Trail & Facility Details:

Trail Surface: Combination of gravel and natural (unsurfaced) terrain.

Trail Difficulty: Ranges from easy to most difficult. Trails 3, 6, and 8 include challenging segments intended for experienced riders (routes 300, 614, 624, and 826).
Traffic Warnings:
- Watch for trucks and cars on Trails 1, 2, and 5.
- Be alert for other OHVs on all trails.
- All trails have two-way traffic.
Trailhead Amenities:
- Vault toilets are available at each of the four trailheads.
- All trailheads are graveled and designed to accommodate trailers up to 16 feet in length.
- Camping is not allowed at trailheads; use designated campsites only.
Safety & Regulations:
- Three designated Medevac helispots are available for emergency use.
- OHV use is restricted to marked roads and trails within the Wolf Pen Gap system.
